LionSteel B40 olivewood B40-UL Bushcraftmesser

There’s far too many five star ratings on this site or any other - and yet here I am, giving just that: a five star rating… In a collection of two hundred or so fixed blades, a few designs strike me as perfect (for their intended purpose). This is one of them. On the surface, the shape resembles a Finnish puukko, a time proven design. On closer inspection, differences are apparent, and, personally, I appreciate each one: a drop point (rather than a straight line), a saber grind (rather than a scandi), and a full tang (unnecessary, if you use your knife as a knife, but I still like it :-)) The knife is all business, seemingly growing out of the palm; nimble yet sturdy. And beautiful, too. The B41 is the same blade, with a slimmer handle, and a push button sheath - a matter of taste, purely. For me, this joins the pantheon next to the Fällkniven F1 Pro and X, the Peltonen Ranger Knife, the White River Ursus / Cub and the LionSteel M4 as one of the most perfect designs on the market.
