An outstanding knife! Unlike my M4 that came with a reasonably sharp edge, this one arrived sharp as a razor. Really, it's a pleasure to carve wood, even with the tiniest portion of the tip. I am thinking of putting a convex grind to it in the future. But fot the time being I leave it as it is. I am truly surprised about how carving-friendly this knife turned out to be. It also does a good job slicing cucumbers. surprisingly well for a thick 4 mm + blade. No rolling away of the cucumber wheelie-bits, no nasty feeling of the blade drifting to the east or the west while cutting. I suppose the rather good cutting experience is due to the high saber grind that gives this thick blade a relatively slim profile. Onions and garlic are cool, too, so the barbecue box is ticked as well. The micarta handles offer a good grip, even when the knife is wet. I have not batoned an apple, yet nor have I skinned a polar bear. But I will let you know. My knife came with a massive leather sheath, Molle-compatible for those who care. I don't. It's not so much belt-compatible since the two leather pieces that form the upper part of the sheath appear to be glued together. Which is fine again, because in Germany we are banned from carrying these knives on our belts anyway... So, you see I really love, love, love this knife.
