Side by side with the Ursus, this looks like a child’s knife. But make no mistake: this is a very well designed, exceptionally well built, fully functional bushcraft knife. I have glove size 9, and the handle is large enough both for choking down power cuts, and for a thumb on spine slicing. The slim blade in MagnaCut is perfect for working with wood, but will slice food equally well. The feel of the burlap micarta is very pleasant. Sheath fit and retention are the highest level. No rattling, no falling out, yet drawn with one hand using the ferro rod as a thumb stud. As with the Ursus, fit and finish (the best on any American knife I know), materials and overall design make this a good deal at 200,- euros. Which one to buy? For woodworking, I would recommend the Cub, as a camp knife the larger brother (sister?) Taken together easily the best two American knives I know of.
